No longer passive spectators, people are now visitor-explorers, active participants in an incredible adventure. They will be able to explore the world like never before… by changing scale, and perceiving the connections between species and their environments.

Like Alice going through the looking-glass with Darwin as a guide, all sense of reality will be magnified and distorted. Thanks to a complex but coordinated stimulation of the senses, people will take part in a captivating journey. A myriad of scents and sensations emanating from these interactive spaces act as a powerful vector of emotions, allowing people to truly experience biodiversity’s spectacle in all its fascinating splendour.

THE EXPLORER’S JOURNEY

Follow the organic dynamics of the living: the path of each Expedition Spectacle will be based on the principle of the movement of the living guiding us, like a common thread, through the spaces from one environment to another.

A sensory and active exploration: more than just a journey through the nature’s wonders, visitors will take part in an active exploration, with nature alone guiding their footsteps and setting the pace.

THE LIVING, AN INFINITE SOURCE OF INSPIRATION OF CONTENT

A multitude of variations of Expedition Spectacles will be conceived around the three main axes that define the DNA of the Sensory Odyssey experiment:

– TRAVEL DESTINATIONS & ECOSYSTEMS: SO Galapagos, SO Tropical, SO Arctic, SO Planet, SO Savannah… deserts, forests, mountain ranges, island landscapes, marine and underground environments…

– NATURAL SCIENCES: the biosphere in all its forms: SO Floral, SO Ocean, SO Micro, SO Birds… World of flowers, plants, forests, reefs…

– SCI-ART: a meeting of science, technology and art. The faithful representation of imperceptible biological phenomena: flower pollination, underwater photosynthesis, underground mycelium networks, symbiosis…
